Laurie Madziar has devoted her practice exclusively to matrimonial law and all family law related matters including, but not limited to, child custody and visitation, child support, emancipation, alimony, equitable distribution, adoption and domestic violence. Ms. Madziar has been a lecturer on family and adoption law topics. She has also contributed to articles for the New Jersey Family Lawyer. Family law is her passion and this passion is clearly passed on to her clients through her empathy and kindness all the while rigorously representing their rights. Ms. Madziar has provided pro bono services to clients of Project Self Sufficiency and Legal Services of Northwest Jersey. She was awarded an Equal Justice Medal in conjunction with her pro bono work with Legal Services. Ms. Madziar earned her Juris Doctorate Degree in May 2003 from Rutgers School of Law in Newark, New Jersey and received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick. She is a member of both the New Jersey and New York bars. While attending law school, Ms. Madziar was elected to serve as a member on the Rutgers Moot Court Board. She was also a published member of the Women's Rights Law Reporter, which is the oldest legal periodical in the United States focusing exclusively on the field of women's rights law. During her third year at Rutgers School of Law, Ms. Madziar was appointed as Managing Editor of the Women's Rights Law Reporter.
